SiIcoat - Highly Flowable RTV Adhesive Sealant

Silcoat is a neutral curing, 1 part no mix, highly flowable silicone rubber sealing compound which cures at room temperature in reaction with moisture to form a tough but flexible silicone rubber. Unlike many other RTV's this product does not give off any acid and is therefore safe to use in electronics and applications where non corrosion of the substrate is paramount. Further benefits of this is that there is no offensive vinegar like odour and fast tack free time.

Typical uses are:
● Bonding, sealing, insulating and Coating electronic components, copper coils & bare wires
● Making temperature, vibration and chemical resistant seals / gaskets
● High temperature sealing in air ducting and flexible hosing
● Heavy duty protection of PCB’s and electronic equipment in hazardous environments
● Sealing very narrow gaps & cracks not usually possible with standard RTV's

Adhesion
Silcoat bonds exceptionally well to glass, silicone rubber, metals including copper & aluminium and most rigid plastics.
Silcoat is not suitable for bonding PTFE, polyethelene, polypropylene or plasticised PVC . Please contact our technical department for further information.

Chemical resistance
Excellent tolerance to alkalis, mineral oils, ethyl alcohol, dilute acids, boiling water, ozone and UV light.  Incidental contact with fuels is acceptable but not recommended for continuous immersion.
